Long before I ever imagined building a brand rooted in creativity, I learned it at home—watching my mom bring magic to life with her hands and her heart. She could make just about anything we dreamed up as kids. Holidays weren’t simply celebrated; they were lovingly crafted. Birthdays weren’t complete without thoughtful, handmade details that made us feel deeply known and cherished.

Without ever needing to say it, she taught me that the most meaningful moments aren’t found on store shelves—they’re created with intention, care, and love.

Some of my sweetest memories are of watching her work—turning the simplest materials into something extraordinary. She never rushed the process. Every detail mattered. Every ribbon was tied with purpose. Every piece carried meaning. Through her, I learned that creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful; it’s about making people feel something. That lesson shaped the way I see the world and the way I create to this day.

Growing up in that environment, creativity became second nature to me. I have always been crafty, always drawn to hand-making, and always happiest when creating something meaningful for someone I love. Gift-giving became one of my favorite love languages—dreaming up the perfect piece, pouring time and heart into every detail, and knowing it would be cherished long after the moment had passed. I learned early on that a truly special gift isn’t about extravagance; it’s about thoughtfulness, intention, and the story it tells.

As I grew older, that love for meaningful details only deepened. And when I began planning my own wedding, everything came full circle. Over the course of a year and a half, I poured my heart into curating, designing, and handcrafting pieces that felt personal, timeless, and full of meaning—much like the moments my mom so lovingly created for us growing up. From the smallest accents to the most statement-making details, I found joy in every step, ensuring each piece reflected our story.

Seeing it all come together on our wedding day was more than joyful—it was emotional and transformative. It reminded me of my mom, of everything she had quietly taught me, and of how powerful beautifully crafted details can be in life’s most meaningful milestones. In that season, Hydrangea Hill Creations was born.
